What We Paint
Weatherboard, render, brick and fibro.
Every exterior in this part of the world is fighting two things at once, salt coming off the ocean and UV coming straight down. Both attack the coating rather than the wall behind it, which is why an exterior that was cut back and primed properly still looks right years later, and one that was rolled over chalky old paint starts flaking within a season.
We use exterior systems from Dulux and Taubmans rated for coastal exposure, and we match the product to the surface rather than using one paint for the whole house. Render, timber and fibro all move differently and need a different film over them.

The prep is what makes it last.
Exterior prep is the slow part of the job and the part that decides how long the finish holds up.
- Pressure washed to strip back salt, dirt and chalking
- Flaking and lifting paint scraped and sanded off
- Rust treated on metal, and bare timber primed before it greys off
- Gaps and joints re caulked so water cannot track in behind the coating
- Bare and patched areas sealed before the first top coat
